Rawtenstall: East Lancashire Railway

The East Lancashire Railway is a preserved line which runs between Bury and Rawtensall, and Bury and Heywood. I was lucky to arrive at Rawtenstall station as former London, Midland and Scottish Railway locomotive 13065 was getting ready to depart for Bury.

Passengers about to board.

Locomotive builders plate.
Coupling the coaching stock to 13065.
Stationmaster talking to the engine crew.
Driver waiting for signal from the platform staff to set off for Bury.
Away she goes.
A view in the other direction.
Now the train has left, a quiet period for the station cafe.
