Kirkby Stephen Church: Part 1 of 2
Kirkby Stephen Parish Church is often called 'The Cathedral of the Dales.' It is approached via the Cloisters, as above which were built in 1810.
The first Church was built during Anglo Saxon times. It was replaced in 1710 by a Norman Church. The present building dates from 1240, with many alterations having taken place since. It is a Grade II listed building.
