Keswick: Calf Close Bay

One of my favourite spots for photographs in Keswick is at Calf Close Bay, on the shores of Derwentwater. It is only a shortish walk form the town centre, but you get away from the mass of people, especially in the summer months. The view looks different every time I go there, no matter what time of the year. 

Not a lot for these two sheep to graze on.

Dornoch Cathedral

Dornoch Cathedral is in Sutherland, North East Scotland. It dates back to the 13th Century. 

The high roof gives the Cathedral an airy and light feel. One of quiet space.

The platform on the left was at one time used by trains to and from the long closed Lancaster Green Ayre station many years ago.

Peebles Cross Kirk

Returning to the Scottish Borders area, and a visit to the ruins of Peebles Cross Kirk, which dates back to the year 1261. All photo's in this series were taken by Lynda Braithwaite.
